We understand that weddings and all the planning involved can be both the happiest and the most stressful time! With every booking we aim to ensure your whole experience with us is super fun and relaxed. We believe that choosing your wedding photographer or videographer is really personal so we aim to really get to know you. This is your special day to enjoy and we want you to feel assured we’ll capture all the candid moments for you to cherish forever. It is our absolute privilege to share your special day with you.
How much experience does Love & Other have?
Love & Other has been operating since 2013. Founders and owners Kyla and Marc have years of experience between them working across photography, video production and entertainment. Our team is made up of permanent full time staff members to support you in the lead up to the big day. From client services, pre and post production and of course capturing the wedding. The 15-strong cast of legends that make up the Love & Other team have myriad experience across a huge variety of photography and video work - from commercial, advertising, and editorial, to fashion, lifestyle, portrait, events and of course weddings!
How do we book?
If you’ve decided that we’re the perfect team to capture your special day we are forever grateful and can’t wait to share your memories! Our booking process is super simple - we’ll send a confirmation form to grab all the details of your big day. We’re also available any time to answer your questions whether over email, phone or we’d be thrilled to meet you in person over Zoom or IRL! Once you’re ready to book, we’ll take a deposit - see the next question for details :).
How do we make a deposit?
We understand how much money flies around during the planning of a wedding so we try to make this as flexible and painless as we can. You can choose to make your payment in two 50% instalments at the beginning and end, or spread it out starting with a 25% deposit. We understand the financial demands involved and aim to make this part as adaptable as we can.
Does Love & Other travel for weddings?
Do we ever - we flippin’ love to travel! If you are kind enough to invite us to capture your special day we will travel far and wide to be there - both nationally and internationally. There may be an occasional additional cost but you’ll know as soon as humanly possible.
Who makes up the Love & Other team?
Love & Other Photography is owned and operated by Kyla and Marc. We also have a wonderful team of 15+ incredible and highly experienced photographers and videographers that work with us. Couples can book with confidence knowing that their special day will be covered with the most professional of teams with not a moment missed.
How and when will we get to see our photos?
A “first look” gallery will be provided immediately after your wedding. Each of our clients has their own online gallery on our website. Your photos will be uploaded there for you to view, download, print and share within 72 hours. You will also receive a copy of all the edited photos, along with every photo captured on the day on USB. This will arrive by registered express post within 4 - 8 weeks of your big day, this is dependent of the time of your and your chosen package. Our in house post production team work diligently to deliver your photos as quickly as possible, taking due care not to rush the editing process of your priceless memories. Sometimes it can take a fraction longer but we will let you know if there is likely to be any delays.
How and when will we get to see our videos?
Love & Other will provide your highlight video link as a priority. Followed by a USB with your edited videos, plus a copy of all footage taken on the day. We aim to have your edited video package to you within 6-12 weeks. Sometimes it can take a fraction longer but we will let you know if there is likely to be any delays. Our in house post production team work diligently to deliver your video as quickly as possible, taking due care not to rush the editing process of your priceless memories. Do we receive all the photos taken on the day?
Our clients receive a copy of every single photo we take on the day. All these images are at their highest resolution, ready for printing.
What are your most popular packages?
For photography & video, our CLASSIC packages are the most popular. Most couples select both to make sure that not a single moment of their special day is missed.
What’s your photography style?
Our style is very natural and candid. We believe the most beautiful moments captured are the ones when you don’t even know the camera is there. We want you to enjoy your special day together, to feel comfortable, at ease and to have as much fun as possible. We’ll more than likely encourage a couple of smooches here and there too!
I don’t like my photo being taken. What now?
We can say with confidence, you’ll feel super comfortable on your wedding day with us. We’ll consult with you in the lead up to make sure we know exactly what you need, what you want to cover off and to get to know one another so that on the day, we hopefully feel like an old pal. We like to make it feel like we’re not even there so we can capture all of the most intimate and candid moments.
Do you work with other photographers and videographers if we would only like one of your services?
We would absolutely love to help you in any way we can. If it is just photos or video that is completely fine. We have worked with some of Australia’s most popular creative professionals and thoroughly enjoy the opportunity when we do. We are here to help all our couples capture their beautiful day however they wish.
Do you do engagement shoots?
Yes! Engagement shoots are the perfect opportunity for us to get to know each other! Generally these take around 60 to 90 minutes at a location of your choosing but we are also happy to select a location for you.
